Just one of those days...weeks....months.

Well, life could be worse I guess. So yeah, not much going on. School goes on. School sucks. Ah well, if the earth didn't suck, we'd all fall off.

I've changed my music to go with my mood.

Crazy variation

Ok, I know that I haven't written in a while, but I couldn't find anything interesting to write about. So now, I have decided to write about my experimentation with different instruments. My brother got a clarinet a while back, so I've been playing that a little bit. It was dumb because I'm used to playing the flute and so it took me a long time to figure out how to position my mouth correctly so that I actually made a sound. (That is, other than the sound of a strangled goose) Then, my sister comes along and tries playing it and it only takes her like 3 seconds to get a great sound.

Also, last year in our band class we had 5 French Horn players. Five of them! But this year one of them quit and I think the rest graduated and the one sophmore that plays is kinda crappy. So guess what! I've been trying to play the french horn! I've only played it like 3 times as of yet but I think it would be really neat to play. Its crazy to feel the different muscles working around my face and I've never played a brass instrument before, so its really weird to have to buzz my lips to make a sound. When I'm done practicing, it always feel like my lips are flat.

Oh, and here's a really cool video that I thought was pretty funny.

My new, number one, all time favorite movie in the whole freaking world

So, about 30 seconds ago I finished watching a movie called "Penelope". I hadn't heard of it until yesterday when I came to my Grandmother's house and picked up the DVD case. It looked interesting, but I disregarded it, thinking it looked like a silly kid's show. Then today my aunt asked me if I wanted to watch it. I wasn't doing anything else, so we put it on. It turned out to be fabulous! Its about a girl named Penelope, duh, (played by Christina Ricci) who wants to find someone to break the family curse that has left her with the face of a pig. (Even though she still looks great even with the pig nose. After each and every suitor is repulsed by her face, she is losing hope when she finds Max.
(James McAvoy, who also played Mr. Tumnus in Narnia)
But Max is not quite what he seems.

Anyway, it was a really cute show! It has made it to the top of my list. (At least for now! :-D )

The Crazy Things That We Do!

We finally got around to planting a garden.
Its been doing well, thanks to my mother's tender loving care. We have enjoyed tons of zucchini, beets,
and some really, REALLY
crazy type of cucumber!

We are so weird.

They're kinda cute, in a bizarre sort of way. (and no, I'm not talking about the cucumbers)

But it sure is FUN!

These freakish cucumbers are a strange variety that really aren't meant to be this big. Somehow they just got missed and grew to be pretty freakin' big. It was amazing how much they looked like some gigantic slug, so of course, we couldn't resist sticking some eyes on them.

Bee sting update

I don't know why so many people are so concerned about the bees dying out....I'm all for it.

So Thursday night I had ice on my foot because it felt good, but I look down and it looked like my foot had been inflated. Not cool. Here are the pictures.

And this is what my foot looks like friday morning. Not quite as swollen, but a little more purple by my toes.

Day 2-ish of bee sting.

Bees are stupid. Whatever small amount of love for them that I had, is now gone. Can you tell which toes are swollen? So yeah. This picture is from last night, and this morning there is little improvement. We are even wondering if its worse....Is there a doctor in the house?

The devil's pets

I am dedicating this post to the honey bee. The little pest that frequently sends little children screaming away from it. Yesterday I had the not-so-pleasant experience of stepping on one of these little jerks and I got stung, big time. At first I didn't know I had been stung, I thought that maybe I had stepped on a prickle or something, but after a few steps the pain grew and I lifted up my foot to find the little twerp still on the bottom of my toe! I flicked it away, but the stinger was still left in my toe. I sat down to pull it out and pretty much got it, but man! I had forgotten how bad a bee sting can hurt! I was fighting back tears and telling myself that I was being a baby. After 5 or 10 minutes the initial pain went away, but it still hurt. Throughout the day, my toe began to swell. You would have though I had like...sprained my toe or something. Anyway, so even now, the next day, my toe is still slightly swollen and so is the toe next to it and last night I woke up because the tops of my toes were itching, which is not even where I got stung! Perhaps toes are just sensitive to bee poison.

Though they are annoying, they are really quite fascinating.

Saint Tail!

Ok. I am such a freak. I love this show! Asuka Junior is my favorite! I'm not usually they type for anime, because some anime is just too weird, but this show was so cute and funny, I just love it!

Tonks

Ok, this picture isn't the greatest, but isn't the pink hair fabulous!
